What's reciprocity?
In medical education, the term reciprocity refers to the
“recognition of the validity of certificates issued by
another organization”. In other words, renewal by
reciprocity means AAH may recognize your previous
certification.

Requirements
- Previous certification must be issued from a credentialing agency recognized by AAH.
- Previous certification must not have an expiration date greater than 36 months.
- Previous certification must be the same, or similar in scope to AAH's credentials.
Approved Documents
- Official certification card issued by previous credentialing agency, or
- Official MemberID card issued by previous credentialing agency, or
- Official document, letter, or certificate containing previous Certification#
